Privacy Policy

Axle Tax is a trucking recordkeeping application designed to help owner-operators organize operational records such as trips, mileage, fuel purchases, IFTA information, vehicle inspection records, maintenance records, driver time records, and notes.

Information Axle Tax Collects

Information stored in Axle Tax may include records entered by the user, such as trip information, locations, mileage, odometer readings, fuel purchases, vehicle information, inspection records, maintenance records, driver time records, carrier information, and notes.

Some features may use device information or location services when the user chooses to use those features. Location information may be used to assist with recording trip locations and is not collected simply because the application is open.

Google Sign-In

Axle Tax may offer Sign in with Google as an authentication option.

When a user signs in with Google, Axle Tax may receive basic account information provided by Google, including the user's Google account identifier, email address, name, and profile information that Google makes available through the authentication process.

Axle Tax uses this Google account information only to authenticate the user, identify the user's Axle Tax account, and provide account-related functionality such as cloud synchronization.

Axle Tax does not request access to Google Drive, Gmail, Google Calendar, contacts, or other private Google services through Google Sign-In.

Cloud Storage and Synchronization

When cloud synchronization is enabled, Axle Tax records may be stored using cloud infrastructure provided by Supabase.

Cloud-stored records are associated with the user's authenticated account. Axle Tax also keeps local copies of supported data on the user's device so that the application can continue to operate when offline.

How Information Is Used

Information is used to provide Axle Tax features, maintain the user's records, synchronize supported records between devices, generate reports requested by the user, improve reliability, and protect account data.

Information Sharing

Axle Tax does not sell users' personal information.

Information may be processed by service providers necessary to operate the application, such as authentication and cloud-storage providers. Information may also be disclosed when required by law.

Data Retention

Axle Tax records may remain stored locally on a user's device and, when cloud synchronization is enabled, within the user's Axle Tax cloud account until the records are deleted or the account data is otherwise removed.

Security

Reasonable technical measures are used to protect user information. No electronic storage or transmission method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

User Choices

Users may choose whether to sign in with Google or another supported authentication method. Users may also control device permissions such as location access through their device settings.

Children's Privacy

Axle Tax is intended for commercial drivers and other adult users and is not directed toward children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated as Axle Tax changes. The effective date at the top of this page will be updated when material changes are made.
